I write plays<\/p>\n

Due to an urge to do my best out of nothing<\/p>\n

To search for light in a very dark place<\/p>\n

In order to find a reason to speak in the middle of silence<\/p>\n

I keep on writing<\/p>\n

Since I still don\u2019t understand how it really works<\/p>\n

What are the rules of the game?<\/p>\n

How do I know when it comes to an end; is there a way not to play?<\/p>\n

So I write a bit more<\/p>\n

Until I am old and wise enough<\/p>\n

Fed up or dead and gone<\/p>\n

Until the world stops spinning<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when I\u2019ll know it\u2019s time to stop<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Charalampos Giannou<\/strong> was born in Cyprus and is currently living in Athens, Greece. He participated in international workshops at Neue Stucke aus Europa<\/em>, Wiesbaden, 2010 and Obrador d\u2019Estiu- Sala Beckett<\/em>, Barcelona, 2011.<\/p>\n

Plays of his have been translated in English, Spanish, Polish, Romanian and Serbian, while several of them have been staged in Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Colombia.<\/p>\n

His play <\/em>Hungry<\/em> received the State Prize for Best Play 2014, by the Greek Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n
