The 16th International Literary Festival “Where am I calling from? – Odakle zovem” took place in Podgorica, Montenegro. The festival was organized by the “Karver” bookstore (Sibila d.o.o.) from June 27 to 29, 2024, on the plateau in front of the bookstore. The motto of this year’s festival was “Creating the World”.
During the first evening of the festival, Silver Tree and Treći Trg presented the works of the Norwegian Nobel prize winner Jon Fosse. The audience had the opportunity to attend the first screening of a video interview made for the festival by Dejan Matić – editor and one of the founders of Treći Trg, while the interviewer was Radoš Kosović, the translator of Fosse’s works into Serbian.
This was followed by the presentation of Fosse’s most recently published works, novel “Septology” and the collection of plays “Rambuku & Shadows”, which were supported by the REX and WEDA projects, co-financed by Creative Europe Program. Dejan Matić, the editor of Treći Trg, spoke about books, while the discussion was moderated by Varja Đukić, manager of the Karver bookstore and the festival, as well as the actress of the Montenegrin National Theater.
In addition to the “Rambuku & Shadows”, Treći Trg and Silver Tree published many of Fosse’s works – the plays “I am the Wind” and “Dream and Other Plays”, the novels “Morning and Evening”, “Septology I-II: The Second Name”, “Septology III -V: I’m Someone Else”, “Septology VI-VII: New Name”, and poetry collection “Dog and Angel”, many of which can be found in the Karver bookstore in Podgorica.
