Simona Popov
Simona Popov (1982) graduated from the Faculty of Philology – Romanian Language and Literature, and later obtained his Master‘s Degree in Romanian literature at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. From 2009 he worked as lecturer and teaches Romanian Syntax and practice of the translation from Romanian into Serbia and vice versa.
Over the years has gained an extensive experience in consecutive and simultaneous translation, and she also translates literary, short stories. Based on the work with 4th year students from the Group for Romanian Language and Literature on the subject Specialized Translation, the Anthology of Contemporary Romanian Short Prose “Ponoćni voz” was created. A translation of Gaudeamus, Mircea Eliade is expected to be published soon. She is a member of the International Jury within the International University Colloquium “Lucian Blaga”, University of Sibiu, Romania, Section of Translation from Romanian into Serbian.
